Location: Cora Headquarters

I didn't even have time to look at the beautiful scenery before my eyes as they took my arms and escorted me towards the center of Cora Headquarters. Bystanders were looking at me with great interest... surely because of the guards beside me. They follwed us as we strut towards Quiane Kahn's room. Before it was a portal of some sort where people are popping up as circles of light foretold people of their coming.

Luckily, we hadn't bumped into anyone who was being summoned from the portal. And as we neared the entrance to the bishop's room the guards loosed their grip and went to their posts. Only the officer in charge and myself were standing before the door.

With a loud yet elegant voice he cried "Your Excellency, I Lucius Mentaros have brought Ryone Snapdragon before you...". So his name is Lucius... I thought, but before I could think of anything else his eyes met mine and I think it meant that for me to enter.

I remembered what he said that I should be polite and every way possible, but awe filled my heart... There was such a great aura circling around her and her beauty was just like my mother but her dress must mean that she is of Noble blood. Her gaze was soft and warm, I thought of the first time I had eaten chooties' sweets when I was a child... It was just like that feeling. She was levitating, which surprised me even more. I really couldn't explain what I was feeling maybe, this is the feeling of euphoria-

A hand was slapped into my back... it was Lucius's hand, a signal that I should bow. And so I did, it was the longest bow that I ever made... I couldn't look up maybe I'll again be entranced by the beauty of the bishop, that was until she spoke.

"Ryone Snapdragon, Is it not?" With such a soft spoken voice that I barely heard it if not for me being so near to her.

"Y-Yes, your excellency". A poor copy of Lucius's greeting

"Don't be afraid Ryone, I already know why you are here in Cora. But, I think that you could not be able to do such task at your current state." Again with that same soft spoken voice but now with a motherlike tone. Is she talking about my family? How I want to avenge their deaths? How much I detest the Bellato specially those who killed my family?

"Yes, Ryone I already know. Don't worry about you being an advocate of Holy force, times have changed and we have learned from our mistakes. Furthermore, Edians have showed their Zelousness in serving the great DECEM." She added as I thought about how my mother ended up in Bellato homeworld. Does this mean that she already know that I am half bellato?

"It was an unfortunate event that your family was murdered by the bellato, but it was not in vain we have received your mother's message and have prepared our armies in case of another armed conflict against the bellato even against the accretians." It seems like I can sense a hint of doubt of speech in her voice. It was like she doesn't want to talk about what I have thought about. It was clear that she can read minds.

"Your mother, Etila will always be remembered by her brethren!" her voice was now firm. "Ryone Snapdragon, now I ask you will you continue to bring glory to the great DECEM just like what your mother did?". I was startled by this question, I never thought about this question... I was not ready to give an answer for such a huge respnsibility. I was still wrapped in the red mist of vengeance.

"I cannot answer that question right now your excellency..." I replied, but it seems like she already knew the answer.

"It seems like your heart is still cloaked with red." she said, but in between I can hear her without opening her mouth. Our eyes met and then she said "I know, you've been through a lot. More than the usual corite have been through, and it is hard and confusing but Ryone only you can find your way. Be Strong!" Those last two words, I can remember them... They were like the words of my father. My heart raced and I can feel it again, the throbbing pain of losing someone important. But, now I know what to do that is to be strong!

"As of now Ryone Snapdragon, you are welcome in Cora Colony. Please treat it as your home." The bishop said, but not without the grim look of Lucius. "Have you heard it Mentaros?" she look at Lucius with a straight one.

"Yes, your Excellency..." He reckoned.

"I guess it is all settled, please show Ryone his' temporary quarters. And, Ryone I hope that you can make a decision a week from now, I'll be waiting for your reply." She said with that sweet, warm voice.

And with that I made my bow and I was again escorted by Lucius... But, I sure saw the smile that Bishop Quiane Kahn made as we left the room.

To Cora Colony

9005 [Novus Era 30]

Location: Kartellan ship bound to Cora HQ

"The ship bound to Occupation area is leaving please buy your tickets..."

I just remembered that I don't have any money and when I looked at the person in command of the brigade he immediately said

"No need to think about the tickets we are on official business"

And then he said no more... We stepped on the platform and then a flash of light from the floor covered our bodies and the next thing I knew we were inside the ship.

"Please make yourself comfortable" said the officer with his fake grin.

His two companions grabbed my arms and took me to the lowest part of the ship. It was a big room and I guess it was made for briefings. They threw me there unceremoniously, I fell down the floor with a loud thud.

"What the-" I tried to say someting but it was cut by the soldier.

"You are not allowed to roam anywhere, don't even think about escaping!" Then he and his companion guarded both doors of the room and stayed still. Their looks were like of a tiger, eyeing their prey and watching every move I make.

"Arrgh!" I tried to release the anger that filled my chest. I was just enjoying my stay at Cora wharf then these people took me without notice. And threw me here like I was an animal, to talk to some bishop I don't even know of.

After feeling that my chest was a bit lighter than it was 10 minutes ago I tried to sit down but then...

"This is the Captain speaking... We are approaching Cora Colony... Please take all your belongings with you"

"It's time." The officer said as he entered the room. "Ryone Snapdragon I ask you to be polite in the best way possible when talking to the Bishop." He added, still with the fake grin which now I find annoying.

And we stepped out of the platform and the rays of light from the high sun hit my eyes...

Woken up to a bad start

Location: Cora Wharf

I was woken up by Ezra's soft cries. When I came around I saw intrinsic patterns I have never seen befor. I felt very serene and I can feel the Force flow in and out of my body like water flowing through a stream. I focused my attention on ezra and made a grin, she gave a big sigh and then went back to her reaver.

"Thank you Ezra, without you I'd be a popsicle!" I said jokingly.

Seems like Cora wharf is deserted at this time... who would wake up 4 in the morning? I tried to stand up, and successfully I did but not without staggering for support using my gunblade. The wound from my injury last time has not yet healed but it is much better than last time. I can still remember the horror of that encounter. I can still smell it... the oil from the accretian and, the blood from my ankles.

"So this is Novus..."I uttered.

War is everywhere in Novus unlike in the Bellato homeworld there isn't much of fighting since it is under government control of the Bellatos. You'll get killed if you're not aware of the situation and if your focus is not in the surroundings. Then suddenly it hit me, the hairs in my neck rose up and I can feel blood pumping rapidly in my veins.

"I can avenge my family..." Shaking with excitement "I can kill the ones who murdered my family!" I can still remember their faces well, I can still remember the scar of the captain and his voice. I know, I can feel that he and I will meet again here someday... someday-

I was cut in my thoughts by the coming of the kartellan transport and with it a bunch of corites. They were all holding their weapons up high as they approach me.

"Ryone Snapdragon, I presume." Said the first person in the ranks "The Bishop wants a talk with you, please come with us" He said as he made a fake grin... I can feel some hostility from him and his companions.

"Okay..." I said it without even knowing

Location: Cora Wharf

Though it was hard to go thru hordes of robots and callianas I managed to get myself in one piece near Cora Wharf (With Ezra's help of course). As I neared my destination a cloaked Accretian has chosen me as prey. I parried the first volleys of arrows thrown at me but the third one got me in the ankles. I seemed like I was carrying a heavy ball of spikes in my right foot now. Ezra was still resting, still tired from our little venture from Ether Platform to Cora wharf's vicinity. It seemed like I will soon follow my family...

"Mom,Dad I'm sorry I think I cannot avenge your deaths" I uttered these words full of pain.

But then, I saw a Fire Projectile from behind me and it hit the accretian's arms which made him lose his grip from his Beam Gun Bow. The accretian made let out his launcher to retaliate, and Immediately three corites surrounded him one was surely a warrior and seemed like the leader of the group and his accomplices both summoners.

The Warrior said "Come here brethren and take refuge we will take care of the vile accretian!"

He let out his sword and pose for battle and his comrades followed him. Both summoners took out their Isis which made the accretian go into hiding. Unfortunately, Cora is gifted with Sight and they saw him. Cornered he tried to make a last stand. Deploying his Siege kit and started firing at the warrior, which seemed like a bad choice of a target since the warrior took it head-on but emerged unhurt. Projectiles flew towards the lone accretian some hit his legs one took out his power cells and to finish it off the warrior slashed his head horizontally that the liquid that supplies it's brain oozed out like a fountain.

"May DECEM have mercy on you, are you alright?" Inquired one summoner.

"Yes I'm alright, Than-" Suddenly all went black and the last thing I heard was a soft thud in the snow.

Ether Inhabitants

Location: Ether Platform

I have no more money to spare and it seems like I have to go to other race in order to have money and to survive. I Didn't know where to go, I would never go back to Bellato I still need to avenge my family and make them pay for their crimes. Accrecia might welcome me but I would need to give up my body and live inside a robotic one, and lastly Cora would be a good choice specialy when I look more of a corite than a bellato.

I made up my mind I would go to Cora and ask for refuge. I just hope that they'll accept me, well I know how to summon animus and wield a sword I think I can meet the requirements. Unfortunately, Ether inhabitants might not make my journey any easier.

Ether's inhabitants are full of mechanized robots and a new race in novus the callianas. It seems like they are both hostile and any race and would kill anyone on sight who don't look like them. Not a very friendly bunch, but I would take the risk rather than die and not avenge my family's death.

After all I have Ezra to protect me...

Ether Platform

Location: Ether Platform

It was a cold afternoon when I came to the Platform. I don't have anywhere to go and I decided to stay in the kartellan controled area before doing anything.

Not much people here in Ether platform not even a soul lurks the enourmous building that the kartellans build. I sometimes wonder why would they build this kind of thing out here in the Ice Desert? Are they building some kind of defense base here? I don't know I think I just need to find out for myself.

I took out what's left of the money that I got from the pod, and kept it safely in my pouch... hoping that I would have a place to stay and have something to eat before I ran out of dalants.

Deliverance

9005 [Novus Era 30]
Location: Cartella transport ship bound to Ether
The last day I saw my family...

I was travelling alone in the ship. Tears we're almost falling from my eyes but, I tried not to... I promised not to. Holding the necklace that mother gave me and Ezra's reaver.

"We are approaching Ether platform... please take all your belongings with you... Thank you for using cartella transport!"

Mother and I both heard a gunshot. "Ryone I want you to take this..." Mother handed out an Isis reaver. "This is an Isis reaver her name is Ezra she will protect you wherever you go." she tried to catch her breath and continued "Ryone I know you're too young but I know you have learned how wield a sword from your father and you know how to use the force." Tears rolled down her face "I know, I was not a good mother to you-"

I cut her sentence and said "No Mother! There can never be anyone kinder than you, you're a good mother!" I was positioning myself in the pod and started to close the door. "I love you Mom! and I love Dad too! I know this is the only thing you can make up for Father." The door fully closed and I was talking thru the lone window in the pod. "Go to father, mother... I know because I can feel it in my heart, you also want to right?"

Mother just nodded she was trying not to show me any kind of weakness, maybe because after my display of sacrifice. She wiped her tears and I started the engine. She conjured her staff out and headed back to our house. "Ryone be safe" I heard her from my heart.

As she entered the house she saw Michael bleeding from a gunshot she immediately used Healing on him and the wound closed up. "Why are you still here Etila?! Where's Ryone?"
Father staggered while standing up. "Don't worry he already left-" Etila was halfway from her sentence when father shouted "WHY AREN'T YOU WITH HIM?"

Etila looked at him full of warmth and said "Because I love you...". Michael calmed down then suddenly "They" came up from the kitchen door. "Wait, it is me you want right?" Etila calmly talked to them "Etila no!" Michael cried as he posed himself in front of Etila. "They won't leave us alone even if we surrender they'll just kill us mercilessly!"

"Good words from the Ex-hero of the first Novus war." The captain said "You have interfered an arrest Michael Snapdragon, since she was deemed guilty of treason you too are deemed guilty of the chrages." He pointed his spear to Etila "You will both die!"

Etila was not surprised to hear this and she positioned herself as though she is casting a spell. "I'm afraid we have to do things this way." She conjured a wave straight to the captain and his men, they were all pushed back to the living room all on the floor.

"Let's run Michael-" A bullet went straight to Etila's chest she immediately fell down Michael caught her halfway. "Etila! Etila! are you okay?!" Her hands reached out for his cheeks and said "M-Michael the b-bullet hit m-m-my- AHH!" She screamed out because of the seering pain from her chest. "I-I Love Y-You! M-Michael!" she was clearly in pain, but she still tried to say those words. Michael couldn't believe that he was now holding her while she was dying covered in blood. "I Love You Too!" He cried while tears rolled down his face. Then Etila smiled and the warmth on her face faded.

Guns were pointed at Michael, in his arms lies Etila's lifeless body... "Bang!"

I was still looking firm at the road when suddenly I felt something heavy in my chest. The pod swirled and stopped abruptly. Tears were now falling like waterfalls. "They're... dead" I felt that my body was so heavy that I can't even raise my hand to hold the steering wheel. There is nothing but endless horizon up ahead not even a living thing in sight. No one was tailing the pod not even "They".

"Could I go on?" I asked myself my body still heavy

"We're always with you..." a caring voice said those words "Be strong Ryone Snapdragon!" a firm one added "We love you" they said in chorus.

"Mother, Father I love you both!" My body was not heavy anymore. And I continued my journey.

I reached the cartellan port without anyone tailing me. I had 3 tickets but only needed 1... "tears again" I said " I promise you mom, dad I won't be shedding another tear, I'll be strong!". And I gave my ticket and entered the ship.

Juxtapose

Location: Bellato territory
New weapons have been created by each race.

The sun was high up in the sky when “They” arrived. They got down from their transport in a file. Armed with swords, spears and a parchment with the words

“Capture.... Dead or Alive...”

“They” went straight to our home, barged in and their leader shouted

“Resistance to the federation is futile and will only result to death!” pointing his spear to my mother he said with a roar “You filthy outsider! How dare you betray us?!”

Father hiding behind the door with his spadona in hand he hastily lodged in for an attack. His eyes were red and there is some sort of killing aura around him that even “They” felt his rage.

“RYONE, ETILA RUN NOW!!!” he shouted as he parried the spear of one of them. We immediately run to the back of the house where our escape pod was waiting.

I can still hear the cries of father and “They” as their swords and spears clashed. As we reached the pod mother hesitated to get in. I can feel her worries about father who have just showed her how much he loves her...

The sun has just risen in the horizon when father came home... with news that would change everything we had this past 16 years.

“Ryone! Where is your mother?!” he said as he tried to catch his breath, he must’ve run all the way from the town square.

“I think she’s preparing break-“I was cut off when father rushed into the kitchen. “Etila we need to pack our things now!”

Mother still with a hint of disgust asked why. “THERE IS NO TIME TO EXPLAIN! JUST DO IT!” it was the first time I heard my father shouted for as long as I can remember. It shocked my mother, but only a little bit. It seems like she knew of what was happening based on the actions of my father.

“Why don’t you leave us, you haven’t done anything wrong have you?” Mother reckoned

“What are you saying? “They” are coming to get you we must leave this planet I already booked us a flight to ether the pod is waiting outside pack your things now!” replied my father as he took the bags and put in our clothes.

“What is happening? Father? Mother? Who are “They”? Why are “They” after mother?” My mind was troubled and I don’t know whether to wait for a reply or do what my father says.

“Ryone, I think it’s time to tell you the truth” As mother sat down. “Etila what are you waiting for, help me!” father exclaimed.

“You know I am a corite which was banished from the corite community because of the war of colors.” Her face frowned as she said this. “Even though we, the holy force wielding corites, were banished from the corite homeworld I still love DECEM!”

Father was still busy packing our things but mother kept on without even looking of how father is doing.

“Michael, listen...” father immediately stopped what he was doing and turned to mother. “I’ve used you so that I can send a message to Cora and within it are their future plans for Novus... their plans of conquering all of it and the weapons they are developing.” Father’s face was firm as mother said this.

“I didn’t even love you Michael it was all just to get that message to the papal court...” Her voice was clearly shaking. “I hate you and your race for being greedy and power hungry beasts!” she broke into tears.

“I knew that you used me...” father replied with his fists clenched, mother wasn’t sure of what she heard and look on father straightly her eyes fixed on his’. “I knew that you used me, Etila.” Mother now was sure of what she heard, she was shocked to hear this.

“Then... why?” mother was like a child asking for some enlightenment. “Because I love you Etila!” “Ever since I saw you I’ve fallen in love with you, I didn’t care what you saw in me that made you fall for me!” Father’s eyes were teary. “Until I knew what you were after, I doubted what to do. But, I still can’t give you away!” father threw his hand outstretched just to be able to touch mother’s cheeks. “I was waiting for a day that you will tell me why...” “I would’ve forgive you even if you said it at my last moments”

Mother’s eyes were as clear as the sky. The disgust was gone and immediately turned to something warm. Mother, for the very first time felt what love is. I followed with a hug and they reckoned it with theirs. For once we were bonded together.

Amidst the chaos that was happening, there was this scene that would be forever be etched in my mind.

Suddenly a car just screeched in the front yard. Father and mother nodded to each other it seemed like they are talking from their hearts.

Father took his spadona and poised for battle...

Genesis Part II

Location: Bellato territory
Operations of the 3 Races against each other have started

"Ryone, hurry and bring me my sword"

Words which fluttered thru my ears as I hurriedly brought the Spadona which my Father has been polishing for almost as long as I can remember. Drowned in my thoughts I overlooked a piece of circuitry that was lying around and I stumbled from it. I made a loud crash as I fall.

“Ayah...” my father sighed “You should be careful in watching your way or you might be stumbling from a bigger obstacle!”

He said this as my father helped me up. I’ve always liked it when father lectures me he often give quotes as a lecture and not a whip to do the talking. Like when I was 6 and I didn’t want to eat vegetables he said;

“It’s better to eat crap-like food than to eat absolutely nothing”

Even though it turned my stomach and it didn’t even help in making me eat my veggies I slowly understood what he said.

Novus back then was in ruins back then because of the war, there were food shortages everywhere luckily my father was a known soldier in the first Novus war and could get food rations easily.

Berserker... sacred warriors whom are very calm when they are not in battle, but once they put on their battle suit and arm themselves with their weapons they turn into enraged beast like a berserk Tasmanian Devil.

I haven’t seen my father in his battle suit before but I heard when he put them on he can kill everything in sight in just mere seconds. I wonder if he even killed mother’s brethren...

“Hey... are you okay son?”

Words which made me snap myself from dreaming.

“Yes, dad I’m okay... here is your sword.”

I said as I gave the Spadona to my father.

“You’re always dreaming huh? What did you dream about now?” father inquired

“Nothing” I reckoned

“Oh well, better get back to your mother it’s getting late tell her I’ll just clean up then we can have dinner” Father worriedly said

“Okay dad, I’ll be off now.” I uttered as I run back to the house

“Take care!” Father shouted because I was already far from him.

Back in the house my mother was preparing dinner. As I saw her I remembered the beautiful sprites that my coloring book had which resembled my mother a lot. She has a pretty face and a slender body like them. And every time I see my mother I can see streaks of light coming from her. She truly was a beauty to behold. But something was in the air which even I can sense it, l can smell disgust...

“Oh! Ryone, you’re here” mother exclaimed “I’ll just finish this up and then we can eat.”

My mother is a corite which wielded the holy force, that’s why she was exiled here in the bellato territory. I’ve always liked it when my mother heals me when I have a boo-boo it had a tingling feeling when the holy light hits me.... I dunno why they would be banished becaused of wielding the holy force which can help anyone in need...

My mother always said that I look a lot like my great grandfather Alestar Edian. She showed me a picture of him thru her mind. She said to keep this a secret from father that I can also use mind abilities like her, so that we can keep a low profile from the radical Bellatos which hated the fact that we (the corites) are now residing in their home world.

Even though I can feel some air of disgust sometimes, I can strongly feel that my mother loves me. She even gave me her prized necklace that she got from grandfather back in Corite home world.

I Love my family very much!

“Father said he’ll just clean up then he will be having dinner” I said while sitting on my chair.

“Okay...” mother murmured, then I felt it again... disgust

“I’m home!” Father said cheerfully

“Welcome home...” Mother replied while changing her composure

“Well then let’s eat! I’m starving!” Father shouted with glee

We say our thanks and then eat the food that mother prepared.

Genesis Part I

Location: Bellato territory
The first Novus war had just ended

It has been 52 years since the war of colors ended and Corites wielding the holy force had fled to the bellato home worlds. Etila Luxquore was an advocate of the holy force because of this she was exiled to the bellato home worlds with other corites who wielded the holy force. Even though the bellato welcomed the corites who fled to them Etila, had a vision that the bellato will just use them to make their armies stronger and conquer other worlds even the Cora itself. Although they were cast away from the corite society she still love DECEM dearly and was willing to do anything what DECEM pleases. She wanted to tell her brethren about the vision she had. Unfortunately, she couldn’t do anything because she is powerless in the foreign land and her companions are brainwashed by the federation with their extravagant lies...

Desperate to send the message she had thought of a plan, a plan that only has little chance of success and may not please DECEM. Using her body she seduced a bellato named Michael Snapdragon, a bellatean berserker. She did this in order to have access to the Bellato communication systems. She had sent a message to the Papal court about her vision and the real situation at the Bellato home world. All she can do is hope that they would regard her message.

She might have been successful in transmitting her message, but it came with a price... She is now bearing a child of her enemy.
