The water was cold but I was happy to feel anything, knowing that I am alive and that DECEM has forgiven me. I even saw my parents; it’s been a long time since I have talked to them. Ezra, Innana and Paimon I don’t know how to thank them for helping me without them I wouldn’t be here right now. I think I should visit Quiane Kahn and tell her about what have happened.
I rose from the waters of Cora HQ and walked to the nearest entrance. I was walking down the isle to Quiane Kahn’s room when people started staring at me. Some were shocked, some have puzzled faces, but there was a face that was unfazed and it was Lucius. I didn’t know why Lucius have decided to make a ruckus especially when people are looking at me. Then he finally said “Come, the Bishop has been waiting for your return in years!” “What!” I exclaimed. “Maybe, because of your long vacation you have lost your head? You have been dead for 2 years! That is the reason why people are staring at you since they all attended your funeral.” He said those words so fast that the only words that I have heard were ‘dead’ and ‘for two years’. “I’ve been dead for two years?!” These words came out of my mouth in light speed. “Yes, you are and now you have been reborn. But because every muscle in my body was as hard as a rock I didn’t feel a thing and I prayed again “Almighty DECEM, let me find this abomination’s weakness” in an Instant my eyes automatically shifted to the Assassin Builder’s heart. The circuits were sparking and they are severely damaged. The Assassin builder poised for another strike his massive arms are just about to hit me but I dodged it perfectly. While the Assassin Builder was recomposing itself I took the time to spin around at a very high speed after building up momentum I released a downward blow which have cut through the Builder’s armor and hit its main chip. The Assassin Builder fell on the ground not moving, I activated my Telecom Device and said “Ok everyone, you can now train at silent marsh the Assassin Builder is down. Please report it to me immediately if you have seen any incident like this and if there are any raiders around.” I was about to go to Haram outpost when someone radioed me and said “Ryone, there are raiders in Shadow wood we need your assistance to repel them. They are accrecians one is a gunner another is a specialist”. I opened up my booster and headed to Shadow wood “I’ll be there in a minute hold on for a while”. I reached Shadow wood 15 seconds after the call, I saw the caller being put into a corner by the accrecians. His companions were on the ground not moving but I felt that they are still alive. His shield was protecting him from the Launchers’ ammo, but it won’t take long for it to be broken. I let out my spear and dashed to where the accrecians are while sprinting I prayed “Almighty DECEM, I need your strength once more to purge these infidels.” In an instant I felt DECEM’s power and with it I blitzed the specialists. Surprised by my coming, the specialists haven’t got time to dodge my sneak attack his core was pierced by my spear. The Launcher focused on me, he deployed his Siege kit and aimed at me. I was still recomposing when I felt the rocket’s explosion which have thrown me face down on the ground. But, I was not going to give up like that so I prayed to DECEM once more “Oh powerful DECEM, please let me continue my mission and overcome this adversity.” And with it I felt a renewed power and my limbs have become nimble. The accrecian desperately threw his rockets at me three consecutive rockets flew right at me but unfortunately for him, I was already in front of him and his rockets have just passed me. In this close range I have the advantage, he undeployed his siege kit in order to run away but I was already spinning and my spear had hit his energy core which exploded as it came into contact. I was thrown aback but still unharmed; the gunner’s remains are just his circuitry and his robotic limbs.
“Thank you Ryone I wouldn’t have survived without you.” The wearied and tired warrior said. “It’s all right; it is my duty to protect all of you, just call me when you need me. Anyways we need to get them into a medical facility” and with that I held two fallen corites on my back and used my scroll to open up a portal to Cora HQ.

You should not overexert yourself okay?” the medical doctor said “Your wounds are not that bad, I’ll just patch them up and you’ll be on your rounds again.” I have been a constant customer by the medical team for I was always getting hurt on my rounds these past few weeks. Ever since took the responsibility to take care of the new bloods of Cora. Many on-duty Corites are retiring next month, they who have brought glory to DECEM and Cora these past few years are tired and weary. It might have been the new atmosphere that is now circling Novus, New weapons are being created on a daily basis now ever since the coming of the crafters from the Cora home world. Even the other races have become more aggressive these days, displaying their new found strength on the pioneers of Cora. That is why I am always hurt when on rounds, other races are always on haram settlement and like to prey on the new bloods.
The Chip War isn’t like the last Chip war; barricades have been placed all over Crag mines. Making battles more intense especially on the bottlenecks. Monsters have evolved all over Novus, using debuffs to disable their predators and if you are not careful they will use their spells to make you fall to the ground. Pit Bosses have been greatly powerful, their hides much more solid making it impossible to defeat them just by a squad of corites. It usually takes a platoon of corites to defeat them. Luckily, inventions like this jetpack make our work easier. We are still grasping the new atmosphere in Novus, but I’m sure we will all get through it. After all these we will be able to glorify DECEM and show the universe how strong the sons and daughters of DECEM are!
